Dallas Blogger Gets Teeth whitening on Lunch Break

The other day, Neil Lemons, a self-proclaimed 20-something adventurer and travel blogger, and Dallas Social Media Reporter came to the office for his first ever laser teeth whitening session. He was on his lunch break and said he had to get back pretty quickly. Fortunately for him, the teeth whitening session only takes about 20 minutes from start to finish. Since he is a blogger, and social media personality, he decided to make this video documenting his experience.

If you live or work in Uptown Dallas, teeth whitening should not be an all day affair. Messing with those do-it-yourself  home kits and having to wear stripes on your teeth is not fun. Plus, you might not do it correctly and end up wasting a lot of time. If you want white teeth quickly during your lunch break using the help of a trained professional, make an appointment with Evanesque Dallas medical spa.

Hilary Kennedy of KFWD Channel 52 and Homes and Lifestyle Television on NBC5 dropped by Evanesque in December in order to get a spray tan for a Dallas New’s Year’s Eve party at the old red court house downtown. She created this video I’m sure it took a lot longer to make the video than tan, since it takes only about ten minutes to get bronze from head to toe.

Also, the solution is made of all natural ingredients. During this winter months you don’t have to turn pale. Dallas med spa Evanesque can help you look your best all year long.

massage-week

An online Indianapolis, Indiana, newspaper recently reported the National Massage Therapy Awareness Week, October 25 to 31, to help raise awareness of the new laws and credentials massage therapists must pass in order to maintain his or her certification. The Indiana chapter of the American Massage Therapy Association is gearing up to educate the public on many of the new laws which now require massage therapists to take 500 class hours.

“With more than 3,000 certified therapists in Indiana consumers have choices when they consider massage,” said Michael Reynolds, AMTA Indiana chapter president.  “The National Awareness week gives us a chance to talk to the public about the difference.”

Uptown Dallas massage therapists are also gearing up for the winter months when the cold air can stiffen muscles and inactivity can lead to knots in the body.

BOTOX Good for Migraines – Harvard Assistant Professor of Neurology

abc-botox-dallas
An ABC affiliate, WCVB TV channel five out of Boston, reported a story this week about a life-long migraine victim who’s doctor tried BOTOX as treatment and she experienced a 75% reduction in pain. She had tried several remedies and perceptions over the years, but fell among the estimated 1.2 million to 3.6 million people suffer from chronic migraine headaches. Dr. Zahid H. Bajwa, Director of Education and Clinical Pain Research at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, said Profita Orok was among a sizeable percentage of migraine sufferers for whom typical treatments did not work.

In one study, 80 percent of patients said that after treatment with Botox their head pain was less frequent, less intense, or both. The study focused on 271 patients who suffer from migraines and other head pain, three-quarters of whom had tried many other therapies, without success. Half had been over-using medications in an effort to relieve pain.

Dr. Bajwa said he is hopeful that the FDA will soon approve Botox for migraines. Often, transplants from the North and East come to Dallas and find themselves suffering from migraines due to allergies and climate changes here in the South. Could the FDA approving BOTOX for Dallas migraine suffers reduce the pain and heartache they face everyday? This is an interesting thought for the future of BOTOX and its many uses.

U.S. & World Report “Rough Microdermabrasion Works Better”

us-news-microdermabrasion-dallas

U.S. & World Report published an article today discussing what makes microdermabrasion work and to what extent. They reported that a University of Michigan study found rough buffing of the skin does a better job of removing wrinkles and acne scars and stimulating healing than a gentler rubbing. This proves than many of those home microdermabrasion kits are not as effective as what can be done in the medical spa.

The key to improving the appearance of skin is to have the treatment induce the production of collagen, which is an important skin protein, Karimipour explained. Earlier studies had found that aluminum oxide microdermabrasion does not always stimulate collagen production, but he said it was not known if that could be achieved with a more abrasive substance.

If the treatment does not make the skin react with collagen to make up for the abrasion, there is not much improvement. However if the microdermabrasion does help the epidermis react with collagen creation, there can be a huge improvement.

The article then goes on to compare laser resurfacing treatments with microdermabrasion saying that laser resurfacing has traditionally be more effective, until now, but more risky. Read the article.

Forbes Journalist Gets Juvederm

Recently, Forbes columnist Judith Matloff wrote an article detailing how she had received a Juvederm shot for her 50th birthday last year and was considering another for her 51st. Her husband was a naysayer, saying she looked fine as she was (which all good husbands would say). In the article she explains how it made her feel good about herself by improving the appearance of her face.

As the syringe went in I felt the years of squinting melt away. One glance in the mirror at my newly plumped visage was enough to create new smile lines. A 100% success rate!
