I love to go out and enjoy what Big D has to offer on the weekends. There’s so much to do whether it’s BBQing at a friend’s house, going to the Dallas Zoo, or visiting the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden. Of course, when I’m out and about in the city I like to look nice and it takes time and effort to look nice.

It’s almost the weekend again! I’m not sure what I’ll do this weekend, but I know it’s time to get pretty! My Saturdays are the days I spoil myself.

What can we as ladies do to feel pretty?

Sport a new hairstyle.

Treat yourselves to a facial.

Lighten your hair.

Darken your hair.

Whiten your teeth.

Do yoga.

Listen to some great music.

Shape your eyebrows.

Eliminate wrinkles.

Buy jewelry.

Get a pedicure.

Find new lipstick.

Go tanning.

Purchase high heels.

Lose 10 lbs.

Smile.

Dance.

Dress up!

What’s your favorite activity to feel pretty? My friends and I always pay attention to our hair. Hair is big in Dallas. We get our hair cut often and change the color whenever we need a pick me up. I also, am very particular about having unwanted hair, hence why I started a medical spa. I like to have smooth, glowing, young-looking skin all the time. Is there something that you always do to feel pretty?

To feel pretty, it’s important that we take care of ourselves both physically and emotionally. Sometimes, that means going to a professional for a service and other times it’s simply changing our mindset. At Evanesque, we help women to look pretty by whitening teeth, providing facials, removing unwanted hair, offering botox, spray tanning, and massages.

Evanesque is an Uptown Dallas medical spa, offering laser hair removal, teeth whitening, spray tanning, as well as Botox treatments for Dallas and Fort Worth residents.

Botox is one of the most effective ways to deal with excessive sweating disorder. Hyperhydrosis is the technical term for patients suffering from excessive sweating disorder. There are many treatment courses that have been tried to treat the disorder, but Botox is far above the rest in preventing sweating with a minimal course of side effects compared to other treatment methods.

How are the Botox treatments administered to the body to treat excessive sweating disorder? Botox is injected into the sweat glands in the four common areas where excessive sweating persists; the palms, the undersides of the feet, the underarms and the face. Botox is commonly used to paralyze portions of the faces where wrinkles have developed. When injected into the sweat glands of these areas the Botox has the ability to freeze the muscles ensuring that the amount of sweat that is excreted from these glands will be reduced.

Acetylcholine is blocked to prevent excessive sweating from occurring, as it activates the sweat glands. When the Botox is injected into the body there is a high chance that the excessive sweating disorder can be stopped nearly immediately after the injection. There is a high success rate of the injections, as an alternative to other courses of treatment which are invasive and painful.

Botox is used as an alternative to treatments which caused a myriad of side effects in patients. These treatments that have been used in the past include; antiperspirants applied to the skin, surgical removal of the glands which produce sweat in the body, cutting the nerves which provide the message for the glands to produce sweat and blocking the glands that produce sweat with the use of small electrical injections.

As an alternative to these treatments, Botox provides few side effects and is one of the least invasive procedures, as it involves a tiny needle being injected to the sweat glands, under the skin. The small needles are generally painless and do not involve any components of the body being removed.

In as little as one treatment session, up to ninety percent of patients have responded favorable to the botox treatment. There are many benefits to undergoing the injections for those patients suffering from the disorder; excessive sweating can make daily activities impossible, as conditions can cause flare ups which can be embarrassing. The course of treatment involves regular injections for up to a period of sixteen months. After this time the patient often experiences fifty percent decreased sweating, even without the Botox injections. Most patients undergo the treatment on a regular basis to decrease the side effects and symptoms of Hyperhydrosis. Ninety six patients have seen success in the procedure, and there is continued research to make the treatment more effective in preventing excessive sweating.ÂÂ
